Birth Doula Services

I will meet with you (and your partner) for an initial interview free of charge, usually at your home. The initial interview can be at a coffee shop or other quiet meeting place.  The interview is important so that we can all decide if we are a good fit for each other.  If you hire me, we will meet for 2 prenatal visits at which time we will review what you learned in your birth classes, write/review your birth plan,  and become comfortable with each other’s company. I will provide 24/7 phone support from the signing of our contract until the postpartum visit.  At the time your labor begins, I will provide phone support and when you are ready for me to be there, I will join you and you partner at your home.  I will transition with you to the hospital/birth center when you are ready and remain with you through your entire labor.  I will remain with you through your entire labor and delivery whether at home, at a hospital or a birth center. After you have given birth, I will assist you if necessary in beginning breastfeeding and make sure you are comfortable prior to leaving.  We will then meet again for a postpartum visit where we will review your labor and delivery, review breastfeeding if applicable and answer any remaining questions. Babywearing Support

I am a babywearing enthusiast and am always eager to pass on my knowledge to moms, dads, babysitters/nannies or grandparents.  I offer 1-on-1 babywearing consultations where I will bring my stash (ring sling, pouch, mei tai, wraps) to your home, give you a demonstration on each, allow you to try them with your child and help you choose the perfect carrier for your needs. 1-on-1 consultations are $20.  At this time I do not sell any carriers but can give you referrals for excellent carriers.  I also do babywearing demonstrations for groups (new moms groups, etc).  Please email for group pricing.

Teen Pregnancy Support

I offer Birth Doula services to pregnant teens in need.  Fees are determined on a case by case basis.
